On our 11 hour layover in Italy, we put our luggage in storage at the airport and took a bus to Citta Alta (the upper city) in Bergamo. Our first meal in Italy was pizza cut from big slabs and paid for by the gram.

Our day in Italy was fabulous!! Now off to Romania.
