Girlies,
So ya, we went to Disneyland without you today. If the big girls didn't have FINALS, we totally would have brought all of you. It was crazy of us to think we could even have any FUN at Disneyland without all of you. What were we thinking leaving you behind?!?
But I wanted you to know, it just wasn't the same without you there. It was really hard to enjoy ourselves and on top of that, it wasn't even a very good day at Disneyland.
We just wanted you to know so you wouldn't feel like you missed out on anything!
First of all, it was totally crowded. Seriously, you could hardly even walk from one ride to the next.
There were people everywhere and LONG lines for everything. Sigh.
They probably even ran out of 3-D glasses for Star Tours.
Space Mountain was probably closed for repairs.
Daddy felt kind of lost without all of you and had a hard time enjoying himself. He just kept saying, "I wish the girls were here." At one point, I thought he was actually tearing up.
It didn't seem right to eat at our favorite family dinner spot without all of you so we just had soggy tuna sandwiches.
There were hardly any characters out and the lines to see them were just as long as always.
We decided we wanted to save all our money for the next time we can bring you girls. So, we just snacked on some stale gold fish we found in the car and a tiny bag of peanuts from Delta Airlines that we found left in the back pack.
It would have taken forever to walk over to 'California Screamin' in the hot sun. Besides, we figured 'California Adventure' was probably super crowded.
We just missed you all so much.
It was silly to of us to think that "the happiest place on earth" could even be fun without kids. We never should have gone without you.
But don't worry, we learned our lesson. No more trips to Disneyland without our cute children.
With Love,
Mom

Having just spent the day you both "and the girls" on a day that really wasn't crowded, seeing your pictures above, makes me want to ask, how did you manage to get the parks exclusively all to your self. In over 50 years of going to Disneyland, I don't think I have ever seen it that UNCROWDED. Fun blog entry.
